jin young - bjj and wing fighter

As my first post I want to start by saying I've always really liked bjj and wing chun. Lucky for me I found an interview with Jin Young, who trained under hawkins cheung. Lets talk about this China Boxer Wing Chun!

If you don't know already, Jin is super popular on youtube. From what I can tell he was the first guy to "teach on youtube," where as everyone else was just "showing off," he took the time to teach and became super popular because of it.

I really like how they talk about about the Wing Chun community, more or less how it needs improvement.  Here is how it goes, in brazilian jiu jitsu they all get along pretty good. Since they all get along so well, they are apple to train with different schools, different teachers and really bring their MA to the next level.  Think about it, if we all got along, we could train like crazy, and finally get some Ip Man like skills!

He also went on to talk about how even before he trained with one of Ip Mans students he trained with the man himself! dan inosanto! One of Bruce Lee's friends/students.  It sounded like he trained with him for YEARS really learning the JKD thing.  It must be amazing to be able to train with some many different people.


If you don't know already,Inosanto was one of the first super famous martial arts people.  He went around a lot in the 80s teaching away with Wing Chun. Very cool stuff, i would love to have the opportunity to train with someone like that.

I find it super cool that Jin was from a small town, just like me, before I moved to New York.  Now that I live in  NYC, plently of WC to go around.

I also liked how he spoke a lot about Hawkins Cheung.  He is a really cool dude, someone who trained under Ip Man.   Best of all from what I can tell, for someone who is a bit older, he can speak English really well.   Think about all the good HK guys you will never be able to speak too, this guy on the otherhand, you just show up! Learn wing chun, done!

To get back on topic, Jin went on to talk about that even thought he was pretty sure, their was no way Jin could take him down! super cool stuff. Here is a youtube video of HC doing his thing.
I'm good for today! I think i spoken enough about China boxer wing chun, i give him all the phrase in the wolrd and can't wait to watch more videos. I'm' going to head back to BJJ and Wing Chun class.
